Sweet 2 the Cheeks hits Tenerife!

Hello!

I’m sorry I have been a bit late posting this (shock I’m late posting again!) but it’s been the same old where I have been busy working and other commitments.

This post is all about my recent trip to Tenerife and what I wore whilst I was out there. The images are mainly evening outfits because majority of the time, in the day, I was in my bikini/costume! So without further ado, let’s get on with it!

Night numero uno

Night number one is always a no brainer for me because in my eyes it’s usually the night you wear the outfit which is your least favourite. However, this holiday I was spoilt for choice because I loved every single one of my outfits I had packed for the week! But after several moments, I finally decided on this old Peacocks navy sunflower dress. In my eyes this dress is a classic and I feel you can dress this up or down to suit whatever occasion you are going to. Last summer I wore it to a wedding with a smart jacket and heels (see my first ever post for more details!) and I felt so summery and glamorous in it! Yet at the same time, I have also worn this dress to the office so it works both ways.

On the holiday I wore the dress with some old Primark yellow sandals and gold earrings! I think doing this glamorised the look instead of dressing it down. The navy clutch is also an old Primark one.

Dos

I bought this dress months ago in prep for my holiday. I knew that come the summer, this would be lovely to wear in Tenerife. And I was not wrong! I bought this number in the sale from Dorothy Perkins Curve range and the material is so light and flattering. The tie on the side allows you to have the dress as loose or as tight as you want it which is really great. I did put a vest top underneath it because it is very booby but I suppose if you’re feeling brave you can let it all out! Unfortunately, I don’t quite have enough in that department to fill the top part of the dress!

The sandals however, are this seasons New Look. They are wide fit and the metal detail across the front is really nice. I was anticipating the bit across would be tight on my foot at first but after a while it did stretch.

Third night

Day three was a really casual night because we wanted to walk further down to where all the restaurants were on the beach. So I teamed this George @ ASDA dress with my white Vans and we were off! This cold shoulder dress was a last minute buy because I have been avoiding the cold shoulder look like the plague this summer because I HATE wearing strapless bras. However, this dress allowed me to wear a normal bra because I just pulled the straps down so they were covered under the dress. Simple! So don’t get put off by the cold shoulder, there are ways around it!

Day 4

On the fourth day we didn’t go out in the evening because we got back super duper late from Mount Teide! For those who don’t know, Mount Teide is a volcano and is the most visited natural wonder of Spain. So if you are ever on the island, you MUST GO! You will NOT regret it I promise you! On that day, I wore these Simply Be floaty shorts and a pink Evans top. I have not worn shorts in years because I always hated myself in them but for the first time, probably since I was a kid, I felt confident in shorts! I just loved how they didn’t cling to my legs and they just made me feel so confident and at ease during our hike! I have since even worn them to a Zumba class and they worked a treat, especially when you don’t want to wear lycra in this British heat!

The penultimate night

It was paella night! We had been searching for ages on the island for a decent restaurant that did paella and we finally found one! And a bonus was that they had a flamingo dance show on too! So when we discovered all of this I was definitely happy I had put on my Scarlett and Jo floaty black and white number because I felt like I fitted in with the theme of the restaurant! I was going to put my black shoes on but I felt wearing the yellow ones really brighten up the whole look!

Last night

Had to save the best dress till last didn’t I! It was my Voodoo Vixen dress of course! Every time I wear this dress I feel amazeballs! I feel so beautiful in it and love how flattering the style of dress is on me. It is a little thick though so I wouldn’t have worn it on a really hot night as you may sweat in it! As it was our last night we really made the most of it and by having lots to drink and plenty of dancing!

So that’s it! The holiday is over and now it is back to reality. However, I do have a trip to Europe coming up in August so please stay tuned to my website as a new blog post on that will be arriving in September!

But for the meantime, enjoy this post of me and my beautiful dresses! And whatever you are doing this summer, make sure you feel confident in the clothes you are wearing and how you wear them. Why? Because every single person deserves to feel sexy, beautiful and happy in their clothes and skin! It doesn’t matter what size you are, because you can wear anything and rock it on your own record. Everyone is unique in their own way and it is important that everyone remembers that!

Love, S2TC xxx
