Well as I’m sure you are all aware, these past few months I have been trying my hardest to find a dress for a summer wedding. As one of the most overused X factor sayings ever, some that I had found just lacked that ‘star quality’ and were consequently, ‘not the right one’. But, all is not lost as after quite some breakdowns, tantrums and frantic panic buying, I finally came across the winner!

And here it is…

This dress is an AX Paris Curve Skater Dress from Very.co.uk. I chose this dress because even though it is sleeveless (and I do hate having my arms on show) I love how it shapes my body. The skater style dress sometimes doesn’t suit me and makes me look wider than what I am but this isn’t too wide on the bottom half of the dress, therefore giving me a great shape. Plus, it has pockets! Yes that’s right, a dress with pockets!

The shoes are Sole Diva High Court shoes, in red, from Simply Be. I was originally going to wear this with just a navy scarf (or as posh people call it a pashmina) around my arms but then I found this Soft Fit Kimono Jacket in bright tomato and I thought was a great fit with the dress! The jacket was from Fashion World but it is unfortunately unavailable on their website now. A similar jacket can be found here.
